Send a Commie to the Senate

I don’t know about you but after I stop laughing at the Occupy Wall Street protesters, I shed a tear for the willingness of more and more people to spout Marxist nonsense in public – I thought we were past all that.  “Banks were established to exploit the poor and middle classes,” stuff like that.  Obama brought many hard lefties into government but Van Jones, the ex-communist, had to have been the most far out and he is now planning to outdo the Tea Party with the “Rebuild the Dream” movement.

Of course we think of these folks as just kids and/or the ever present lunatic fringe.  But then we come across Elizabeth Warren running for Congress.  If you have followed her over the years on TV and in various “documentaries” then you know that this woman is an anti-capitalist – the politically correct current terminology for communist.

What’s astonishing is that Warren is pushing her collectivism philosophy as her campaign theme and that she has Democratic Party support – folks who think this way and want to serve in the Senate usually tone down the craziness.

Liberalism’s collectivist agenda
By George F. Will - Washington Post

Now we all know that Massachusetts is a bastion of unionism and Democrats but I hope that like the Chicago of my youth, those ardent unionists will never be laborites or communists.  Even the candidacy of pinko/commies is going to provoke and enable an even more obnoxious right than the one plaguing us now.  We all need to go for the centrists.

It’ll be interesting to watch.  I’m hoping voters will punish President Obama but I’m worried about what might come next.  Oh well, we just have to keep throwing the bums out.
