The Lunatics are taking over the Asylums

Maybe you too have noticed that we are not just politicizing everything but the world’s activists have been overrun by radicals to the point of seriously damaging important institutions and even harming the causes we used to depend on the do-gooders to protect.

Essential institutions are becoming unrecognizable.  It’s everywhere we look;  I’m thinking of every agency within the United Nations and continuing through the Sierra Club, PBS, PETA, the ACLU and almost every “charity” that we used to love to support.  Even the Red Cross became corrupted for a while.

Here’s the latest example.  It’s not that the idea is new within the circle of crazies, it’s that now the crazies have taken over another asylum.

Human Rights Groups Ask Canada to Arrest President George W. Bush

Lots of people don’t like water boarding and even more people disagree with Dick Cheney’s advocacy of legalizing torture.  But America is still a nation of laws and a Democracy;  comparing America to nations where dictators shoot protestors and rewrite their constitutions is lunacy.

With this move, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch further marginalize themselves and reduce their international moral authority in places where such advocacy is needed most.  In addition, they damage related issues that they care deeply about.  Will Americans and Israelis now be more or less likely to join the World Court?  What western nation isn’t watching and thinking of withdrawing from the Court?

We have got to start reigning in these nutbags.
